Book coaching is a supportive one-on-one mentorship designed to provide guidance, education, and skill-building for a writer, usually (but not always) one engaged in a book-length project.

My role as your book coach is to give you and your project the attention, deep listening, sympathetic support, and tactical help required to get you to a completed manuscript. You making your book happen is the whole goal.
The support and mentorship I provide as a book coach is highly individualized and varies from client to client. Some examples of things I do:
help writers assess new project ideas: would this make a good book?
steer writers in crafting solid structure, premise, goals, and narrative strategy
provide accountability, goal-setting, and scheduling support
create compelling, bulletproof information infrastructures
listen deeply and help sort through ideas to find the ones that work best
deepen skills and sharpen your voice as a writer
guide writers through the book-writing learning curve
be there for you when you’re in the weeds and help you write your way out again
motivate, inspire, and cheer you on as you create your book
There is no wrong time in your writing process or in your evolution as a writer to get the support of a book coach. Writers come to me when they are just beginning to think that they might want to write a book and they come to me when they are halfway through their fifth book and get stuck, and at every point in between.
I tell my coaching clients if your book doesn’t get written, it can’t change the world.
